GPT-5 is coming soon
OpenAI is targeting an August launch date
👋 Good morning/evening (wherever you are). It’s Thursday.
After months of speculation and internal testing, OpenAI is now expected to launch GPT-5 as early as August.
What can we expect?
Sam Altman teased it on Theo Von’s podcast, calling it “the smartest thing...smarter than us in almost every way.”
Leaving aside the obvious bias from Sam, who runs an AI company and has to hype it up, we all need to admit one thing…even if AI stopped at GPT-4 right now, it has already fundamentally changed the world.
Seriously, let that sink in for a second.
Now snap back to reality.
AI is not slowing down.
The rest of this year is going to be a wild ride.
OK let’s keep going ↓
🔥 Creative pulse
I always love it when Matt Zien texts me about his new video because I know it’s going to take me on a WILD trip.
The incredible thing is, I don’t even think he realizes how good he is.
Anyways, you’ll love it. It’s about the last night before AGI.
Watch the video. Posted on LinkedIn.
PS: I’m launching an AI creative community in less than 7 days. I’ll share the link here first. Keep an eye out.

If you have no idea what Vine is, it used to be the OG short-form video app years ago. Basically, the TikTok before TikTok.
💰 The numbers

🧠 Thought starters
AI skills are quickly becoming one of the most valuable career assets, not just in tech but across the economy.
Here’s some key stats:
AI job postings are up 700% over the last decade
Over 80,000 job postings in 2025 mention generative AI, up from 3,780 in 2010
AI jobs pay an average of $18,000 more per year, or 28 percent higher than similar roles without AI skills
AI-related job postings have grown at 29 percent annually over the last 15 years, compared to 11 percent for all job postings

I’ll leave you with this: knowing how to train AI models will be a very valuable skill.
Because if you can train one AI model, then you can create mini systems.
If you create mini systems…then you’ll unlock new doors in your life.
Stick around, I’m planning deep-dive training sessions in the future, including how-tos and full walkthroughs of AI setups.
Reminder: Don’t be part of the 16% of working professionals who pretend to use AI at work.
😂 Meme of the day

"What if AI gets so smart the President can't do better than ChatGPT-7's recommendation and doesn't even understand it? What if I can't make a better decision about OpenAI and just say, 'You're in charge. Good luck.'"

Wait…we’re just skipping ahead and talking about GPT-7 now??
