Google Veo 3.1 is coming
Details inside
👋 Good morning or evening, wherever you are. It’s Wednesday.
So far, three rumors are worth noting:
30 second videos are coming (would be a massive jump…even 15-20 sec is big)
Better scene builders (advanced storyboarding time?)
V2V (video to video references?)
What’s next (not necessarily from Google, but overall):
1.) Full-video referencing: AI will be able to analyze entire videos and generate new ones from them. I’m not talking about 15-30 second ads. I’m talking about 15-30 minute films. And then eventually hours worth of content…and then entire libraries.
2.) Voice-to-video directing: Real-time live directing with AI, where spoken instructions instantly shape the storyline.

Top right: It’s already showing up in Higgsfield

OK let’s keep going ↓
🔥 Creative pulse
This AI film is pure cinema. 1st place at the 2025 Reply AI Film Fest in Venice.
I’ve been meaning to share this for a long time, and I’m thrilled to finally post it.
It’s from Jacopo Reale, a filmmaker with 15+ years of editing experience for Netflix, Disney, Warner Bros, and Rai Cinema.
He’s a remarkable storyteller, and I believe many will see this as one of their favorite AI short films of the year.
Yes, it’s that good.
It’s a powerful piece of work, beautifully crafted and told with real artistry.
“The project originated from a simple idea: capturing the moment two people recognize something in each other — without saying a word.”
Watch the video. Posted on LinkedIn.
