Alphabet joins the $3T club

AI and antitrust win fuel record highs

👋 Good morning/evening (wherever you are). It’s Monday.

Alphabet just crossed the $3 trillion mark, lifted by AI momentum and an antitrust ruling that eased breakup fears.

It’s been the strongest performer in the Magnificent Seven this year, a sign of how confidence is concentrating around companies with a clear path to monetizing AI at scale.

This milestone shows that market leadership in AI is now a defining factor in how the world’s most valuable companies are valued.

OK let’s keep going ↓

🔥 Creative pulse

I want to highlight this incredible proof of concept from Stefan Aberer. It’s honestly one of the best AI car specs I have ever seen.

It took 80 hours of editing and $500 in credits.

Here’s the wild part...it was made 8 months ago.

PS: If you’re passionate (and obsessed) about AI creative…guess what?! I just launched an AI creative club. It’s only $5/month. Skip the Big Mac and use it for this instead. I’m serious, you’ll thank me later. Click here to join.

Lion’s AMA is closed but archived forever. I asked 7 questions. This weekend I went back through his answers, and 3 are still stuck in my head. They changed how I see entrepreneurship and AI moving forward.

🧠 Thought starters

The largest study of 1.5M ChatGPT conversations shows adoption spreading across gender, age, and income levels.

Usage clusters into three buckets: asking for advice, doing tasks like writing or coding, and expressing ideas.

More than 70% of use is now non-work, yet it still generates real economic value, making ChatGPT both a productivity tool and an everyday utility.

Quick insights (see visual below):

  • Education is a big slice: About 10% of all usage, and over a third of “Practical Guidance,” is tutoring or teaching. That positions ChatGPT as an education tool, not just productivity software.

  • Writing is more about editing than creating: Two-thirds of writing use cases are editing, critiquing, or translating user text, less about generating from scratch.

  • Coding is smaller than assumed: Only about 4% of conversations are programming, far below the popular narrative that LLMs are mainly for developers.

  • Self-expression is niche: Just 2.4% of usage is relationships, reflection, or role play, despite media takes that frame chatbots as companions.

There’s two more charts that talk about intent:

  • Overall: Nearly half of all messages are “Asking” (advice, guidance, decision support). About 40% are “Doing” (task completion like writing or coding). A smaller share (~11%) is “Expressing” (personal reflection or play).

  • At work: The balance shifts. Over half of work-related usage is “Doing” (mainly writing tasks), while about a third is “Asking.”
