The global artificial intelligence market is projected to reach $4.8 trillion — roughly the size of Germany's economy — by 2033, the UN said Thursday, warning nearly half of jobs worldwide could be affected.

• OpenAI just made its first cybersecurity investment

  New York-based Adaptive Security has raised a $43 million Series A co-led by OpenAI’s startup fund and Andreessen Horowitz, it announced Wednesday. This marks OpenAI’s first investment in a cybersecurity startup, OpenAI confirmed to TechCrunch.

• Nintendo Switch 2 Leveled Up With NVIDIA AI-Powered DLSS and 4K Gaming

  The new console enables up to 4K gaming in TV mode and up to 120 frames per second at 1080p in handheld mode. Nintendo Switch 2 also supports high dynamic range and AI upscaling to sharpen visuals and smooth gameplay.

• Creating and sharing deceptive AI-generated media is now a crime in New Jersey

  Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy signed legislation Wednesday making the creation and dissemination of so-called deceptive deepfake media a crime punishable by up to five years in prison, and establishing a basis for lawsuits against perpetrators.
